Nalgene® bottle-top sterile filter units have the following benefits: Polyethersulfone (PES) membrane is best suited for tissue culture. Faster results and less waiting time. Non-pyrogenic and endotoxin free. PES exhibits low protein binding, resulting in low chances of loss of protein from media. PES is hydrophilic and thus does not require external wetting agents or surfactants. PES offers higher aqueous flow rates. PES has greater strength, capacity, and chemical resistance than cellulose acetate, nitrocellulose, or nylon. Polystyrene body with graduations.
